Position: Junior Technical Assistant- Agriculture –
No. of Vacancy: 1
Location: Mahankal Municipality, Gotikhel, Lalitpur
Reporting to: Field – Project Officer and DMD focal person Head office
Duration: August 2025 to December 2026.

Position Summary:

The Junior Technical Assistant (JTA) will play a key role in the implementation of climate-resilient agriculture and livelihood promotion activities. The JTA will provide technical support, facilitate training, conduct field assessments, and deliver hands-on guidance to farmer groups and individual households to build their adaptive capacity to climate change and disaster risks.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Junior Technical Assistant certification or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in agricultural extension, community mobilization, or climate-smart agriculture preferred.
• Strong knowledge of integrated farming systems, pest management, soil health, and nursery management.
• Experience working in rural and disaster-prone communities is an asset.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• Practical knowledge of climate-resilient agricultural technologies.
• Basic understanding of disaster risk reduction and adaptation principles.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to ride a motorbike in rural terrains (with a valid license preferred).

Work Conditions:

• Willingness to work with diverse communities including women, youth, and marginalized groups.
• Work during off-hours or weekends when necessary to meet farmers’ schedules
