Position: Sub-Engineer
Location: Mahankal Municipality, Gotikhel, Lalitpur
No. of Vacancy: 1
Reporting to: Field Project Officer/DMD focal person Head office

Duration: August 2025 to December 2026.

Position Summary:

The Sub-Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and monitoring of small-scale infrastructure and construction activities under the project. This includes WASH facilities, resilient shelter, irrigation schemes, livelihood infrastructure, and mitigation structures. The Sub-Engineer will ensure technical quality, community participation, and timely completion of works in coordination with other project staff and local stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical training from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant field experience in rural infrastructure, WASH, DRR, or shelter construction.
• Knowledge of community-based approaches and participatory construction processes.
•  Basic skills in using AutoCAD or similar software are an advantage.
• Familiarity with local construction materials and techniques.

Key Competencies:

• Strong practical skills in rural construction and supervision.
• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings and estimates.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for working with communities.
• Willingness to work in remote areas and in challenging conditions.
• Problem-solving attitude and a focus on quality and safety.
